Event Description:	Classical Indian dancer Chitra Visweswaren and musician/composer husband Pandit offer a highly dramatic and culturally strong evening performance in the Bharata Natyam tradition. Orchestra accompaniment and live vocals add to the authenticity of this rarely seen dance event. Hosted by the Dance Program and co-sponsored by the Asian and Middle Eastern Studies Program, the Alice Kaplan Institute for Humanities, the Center for Global Culture and Communication, the Performance Studies Program and the Ethnomusicology Program. Please join us as we delve into eastern culture and spend an evening in the music and dance of a history rich in the arts.
